She west to attend Emily Carr Institute (now University) of Art and Design where she studied print media, drawing and ceramics. Seeking to hone her skills, she landed an apprenticeship at a production pottery business on Saltspring Island, BC. In her East Vancouver studio located in the coveted Mergatroid building, she creates limited-run functional pottery collections.
