Iraj Dasht-Laali is an Iranian born artist. For as long as he can remember creative art has been his constant passion in life. Most of his creations are abstract, with incorporated patterns and textures from the stylistically rich Iranian plateau. In 1992, Iraj earned his M.A. in cultural heritage conservation and restoration form Cultural Heritage University in Iran. His work has been exhibited in many spaces, including the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. In 1996, he moved to Canada with his family, where he continued his career as a contemporary artist and sculptor, and for the last two decades he been residing in beautiful British Columbia. Since then, his work has been showcased in various spaces in Vancouver and across the province.The last forty years of his creative intelligence and design can be observed in his art and creations. Iraj conveys his artistic vision using broad varied of mediums and processes, including ceramic, glass, metal, concrete and wood.
